Drum Therapy promotes self-awareness; listening skills; co-ordination of breath and movement; co-operation and patience. It is also good for containing or channeling intense emotion and impulses.
Guided lessons – promotes interaction with others; stimulates coordination and creativity by motivating both halves of the brain to communicate with each other. African and Shamanic drumming also possess powerful healing and stress relief properties.

Is a way of expressing yourself through movement in a way of exploring your inner world, using your imagination, feelings and breath. Exploring the possibilities to expand, reach out, to give, receive and connect with you. Moving to your own rhythm.Maya has run workshops based on the 5Rhythms (Gabriel Roth).
Maya works alongside movement therapist Satyo Sullivan since 2002, helping create women’s weekend dance workshops.
Maya has also participated in and contributed to the Earth Women’s Weekend since 1999, creating rituals and running a variety of workshops including a workshop at the Gathering. She facilitates Art Therapy groups at the Carers Retreats and through the wellness program at the High School. She will be mentoring at Blue Gum Bush Craft children's camp in the holidays.
